As of October 2010, and after two years of waiting from the issuance of the implementing regulations of the Industrial Design Law No. 67/2008, it is possible now to file industrial design applications.
Design filing requirements:
- Power of attorney legalized up to the Omani Consulate at the applicant's end.
- Description of designs showing the elements of novelty.
- Five – ten samples of the design to be protected.
- Certified copy of the Commercial Register or any equivalent document.
